we drove to windsor to buy apples and bacon and bread but they were closed. we met an old with a beard and thick glasses instead. he was skinny or wirey really and he had his cigarette lighter attached to a retractable wire thing like a janitor or security guard would have to keep his keys on. he smoked many cigarettes and showed us the porcupines and emus and donkeys and boars and elk and caribou and deer and ostrich and llamas and alpacas and horses and chickens and many other birds and some rodent sort of things. there was a fat barn cat. now the man works on the farm but before he lived in the city and worked at the mall. living in the city wasn't for him he told us. he gave us four cox orange apples to eat on the way home.
